Throughout the course of britney's months-long fall from grace tailspin, one universal question has been asked over and over: Why doesn't her family take drastic measures to stop this?

YAY! On Feb 1, 2008, they did.

James Spears' eyes grew teary when he was named custodian of his daughter. The parents sat with attorney Blair Berk throughout the hearing, smiling and embracing after the announcement.

The court also issued a restraining order against Lutfi, Spears' manager and friend, and gave her father permission to change the locks on her estate and remove anyone who is there.

Lufti has had a bad reputation with the Spears' family. He talks trash about them, to them, and even attacked the spears's parents

He tells them:

"[Britney's family are] incapable of telling the truth and incapable of sympathizing. They're more concerned about money and their own image than Britney's condition. [I have] no more respect for the family."

And we have no more respect for Osama Lutfi!
